My Classroom

Great Start Readiness Program

Classroom 4

Welcome to Mrs. Almy's classroom! Here you can find important information about my room such as our daily schedule and our newsletter. I have been teaching here at Cavanaugh Elementary STEAM School for 5 years with Mrs. Hester. We teach 16 students ranging from ages 3-5 years old. We love to play and work hard. All of our students have to meet a special criteria to get into our free preschool program. We are located in an urban community with all of my students getting free breakfast and lunch.  Our school just recently switched to a magnet school focusing on Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics. Although we are part of the public school we are not part of the STEAM grant. We follow the Great Start Readiness Program grant. Therefore if you have students in the other grade levels be aware that our students will not be taking part in all the same activities as their siblings. However, there are several activities we will take part in throughout the year.
